Hi!  My name is Mrs Akehurst. I am the EYFS teacher.

This year is my 25^th year teaching, all of which has been at Holy Souls. My fourth year in EYFS, which is fast becoming my favourite year to teach.

I love our little school, I think it’s a very special place.  I can’t wait to see how our little people learn, grow and change through their time with us.

One of my favourite things at school is Forest School.  I am a trained Forest School leader and set up our school Forest School from scratch. 

In my spare time I love spending time with my daughter exploring the woods and going to the seaside (regardless of the weather).  I also love going to the theatre to watch musicals.

I’m Mr Kellett, the Deputy Headteacher at Holy Souls, as well as the teacher for EYFS and Year 5.

I am very proud to be part of the Holy Souls family. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of teaching children across all age groups, and I love seeing children grow in confidence, develop their skills and enjoy their learning.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, especially my children, who mean everything to me. I also enjoy walking in the beautiful Lake District and keeping active at the gym.

I feel very fortunate to be part of the Holy Souls community and look forward to a wonderful year together.
