As a school we are aiming for our whole school attendance to be higher than 95%. Please send your child into school every day. If they say they feel unwell, please check the NHS guidance for keeping them off school (this can be found on our website under Key Information, Attendance, Absence and how to report them)

Chavala

Chavala Parker - Child & Adolescent Counsellor BSc MSc MBACP

Hello! My name's Chavala (pronounced ‘Harvala’) and I'm a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, specialising in therapeutic work with children and young people. I offer Talking Therapies and Creative Therapies.

I've been practising as a full-time Counsellor and Psychotherapist for several years now, offering one-to-one counselling and group counselling across the North-West, counselling for several charities, organisations and children's homes, alongside managing three counselling services. Now I work full-time as a freelance Counsellor, counselling children and young people in all sorts of settings, from schools to children's homes. So, over the years, I've gained extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients and issues.

It is increasingly common for children to access counselling or therapeutic support for a variety of reasons, for example following stress or trauma, which could be as a result of a bereavement or family break up, or for help with any specific issue affecting the child’s emotional well-being, which may include anger management, difficulty in forming effective friendships or low self-esteem.

My goal is simple – to make people happier!
