Please note – all children should come to school in their PE kit on their PE day

Black shoes should be worn. If any child comes to school wearing boots or trainers, they will have to change into pumps whilst in school.   If the weather if very bad and children come in wellington boots, please remember to bring their shoes in a bag to change into.

We do receive second hand uniforms, these are available from the clothes rail that is situated in the main entrance to school.  Please help yourself.

Red school bags are also available to purchase from the school office or from the suppliers below.  There is very little room in school cloakrooms for large rucksacks or bags and we discourage children from bringing these to school.  There are storage trolleys for lunch boxes/bags.

Water bottles are available to buy from the school office.

Our school uniform can be purchased from Grays Outfitters, Northgate, Blackburn or

Whittakers, Church Street, Blackburn

All uniforms and outdoor clothing should be clearly named.

Jewellery

Children are NOT permitted to wear any jewellery, including earrings – if a child is wearing earrings in pierced ears, and cannot remove them, they will be asked to cover them with a plaster.

Children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) may wear a plain watch – however, this must not be a watch that does anything apart from tell the time! Smart watches/fitbits, or the equivalent are not permitted.

Nail Varnish and Make Up

Make-up and nail varnish are not considered suitable for school and this will be asked to be removed.

Hair

Hair that is long enough to be tied back MUST be tied back during all PE lessons.  We always recommend that all long hair is worn tied back throughout the day.  Hair accessories should be red, grey or black.   Fashion haircuts or colours are not suitable for school – this includes tram lines. Boys hair should not be shorter than a ‘Number 2’.

Head lice can be avoided if you check your child/rens hair regularly.

Second Hand School Uniform

In the main entrance to school we have a clothes rail.

There is a range of school uniform jumpers, skirts, polo shirts etc of various sizes and in good condition.

You are most welcome to come, look and take anything that you require.

If you do not know what to do with school uniform that your child/ren have outgrown, as long as it is in good condition, you can donate it to school and we will put it on our clothes rail.

Many thanks for your support in supporting others.
