Uniform Information

As our motto is ‘Pride in our Achievements’, so we aim to foster a sense of personal pride and school identity through wearing a school uniform

This is a school red sweatshirt and yellow polo shirt (with the school logo on them)

Grey knee length skirt/grey pinafore for the girls and grey trousers for the boys.

During the Autumn 1, Spring 2 and Summer term, boys are encouraged to wear short trousers and girls may wear a dress of red and white gingham during the summer term.

Black shoes should be worn. If any child comes to school wearing boots or trainers, they will have to change into pumps whilst in school.   If the weather if very bad and children come in wellington boots, please remember to bring their shoes in a bag to change into.

Grey socks for boys

Grey or white socks for girls

Grey tights

PE kits are black shorts, red/black school t-shirt (with logo) and black pumps.

Red school bags are also available to purchase from the school office, from our Agora online payment system or from the suppliers below.  There is very little room in school cloakrooms for large rucksacks or bags and we discourage children from bringing these to school.  There are storage trolleys for lunch boxes/bags.

Water bottles are available to buy from the school office.  You can order these on our Agora online payment system too.

Our school uniform can be purchased from Grays Outfitters, Northgate, Blackburn or

Whittakers, Church Street, Blackburn

All uniforms and outdoor clothing should be clearly named.

Jewellery

Children are not permitted to wear earrings or other jewellery (except watches, but not smart watches e.g. ones linked to phones etc) Watches are removed for PE lessons.

Children with newly pierced ears wearing studs are not permitted to participate in any PE lesson, including swimming.  This includes studs covered with plasters.  Newly pierced ears should be covered by plasters, provided from home and taken out as soon as the time period is finished.

Nail Varnish and Make Up

Nail varnish and make up are not appropriate in school and this will be asked to be removed.

Hair

Hair that is long enough to be tied back MUST be tied back during all PE lessons.  We always recommend that all long hair is worn tied back throughout the day.  Hair styles should be natural looking, and 'trendy' or extreme hair styles are not acceptable in school.  Head lice can be avoided if you check your child/rens hair regularly.
